A vital men’s ministry is essential to the health and spiritual well-being of the family, each marriage relationship, and ultimately the entire community. It is our desire to provide men at CBC opportunities for their personal spiritual growth: small discipleship groups, regularly scheduled men’s breakfasts, retreats/camp outs, and valley-wide events with men from other churches.

What is Wild at Heart BASIC?
Allied Kings Network facilitates three annual BASIC events throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Wild at Heart BASIC is a four-day quest, led by John Eldredge and his team through video sessions, to discover and reclaim the masculine soul.
Is this “just another men’s retreat?”
A man needs a deeper understanding of why his longings govern him— why God made him just like that. He needs a deeper understanding of the ancient paths that lead to LIFE! A better connection with God, not more religion.
This is not a retreat about the “seven things a man ought to do to be a “nicer guy”, or even a “better Christian”. It is a four-day quest into the recovery of a man’s masculine soul, the release of a man’s heart—his passions and his true nature—all given him by God. It’s an invitation to rush the fields at Bannockburn, to go West, to leap from the falls and save the beauty. For if a man is going to know who he truly is as a man, if he is going to find a life worth living, love a woman deeply, and not pass on his confusion to his children, he simply must get his heart back.

We’re expecting several men from CBC will be attending. Carpooling arrangements will be made once we’ve got a line on who’s registered.

Men’s Sweets Game:
Each summer CBC men purpose to take in a baseball game together—another grand opportunity to be in the company of others committed to the journey of faith in Jesus. This year we have purchased tickets for Saturday, June 8, with a 6:30pm first pitch. Tickets will be $10, and we’ll leave you on your own for food, munchies, or merchandise. We are communicating this well in advance so that you can plan accordingly. Sign up sheet will be available April 5.
